The New La Quinta Spa - Arabian Nights All Day Long

Steering away from the trend towards clinical whiteness, the all-new La Quinta Spa has a magical Arab-Andaluz feel drawing inspiration from the hammams of Morocco and the gardens of Granada’s Alhambra palace. Intricate mosaic tiling and splashing fountains create the perfect atmosphere for hedonistic bliss and unabashed luxury.

Recently opened in summer 2007, the 1,800m˛ Spa facilities together with a new Kid’s Club are an essential addition to the La Quinta Golf & Country Club experience. The 27-holes of golf and spectacular real estate offering nestled behind Puerto Banús have long had a 172-room five star hotel on their doorstep, but a Spa makes the resort truly complete.

Guests will feel like royalty, leaving their stresses at the door, and can select from a full range of bodily indulgences. A hi-tech gymnasium, purifying hammam, Mediterranean sauna, hydrotherapy pool, aromatic steam room, spacious relaxation areas, large outdoor pool and sensorial and cascade showers with floral fragrances are all on hand alongside an array of top-to-toe treatments in the wet area. VIP or treatment rooms, suitable for couples or individuals, play host to sea salt scrubs, soothing massages, cleansing facials and detoxifying wraps.

To sustain the magical illusion, the architects behind the La Quinta Spa have made clever use of domed ceilings evoking a starry sky. The best example watches over the temperature-controlled hydrotherapy pool, a lofty dome perforated with star-shaped cut-outs to observe the sky. Arabian Nights personified.

No Spa is worth its (sea) salt without a set of decent changing rooms, a professional beauty room for manicure and pedicure and of course the most attentive and proficient staff. The La Quinta Spa does not disappoint.
